How do I tell my bridesmaids they will no longer be in our wedding without hurting any feelings?

So 3 months ago I asked 2 of my best friends & a cousin to be my bridesmaids, of course they said YES! I might of been a bit excited when I 1st got engaged and asked too soon. My fiance and I talked about it and have decided on having a simple wedding. So it would be just the two of us (my fiance and I), my maid of honor and his best man, a flower girl, ring bearer, & of course our parents. I love my friends (always will) and of course am still inviting every single one of them. But how do I tell the three of them? do I explain to them what I have to you? btw my maid of honor is my close cousin (she lives out of state tho), but i have another cousin who is one of the bridesmaids. I just hope they don't hate me after.. Please help me.
